How can we love others as God loves us?

  • Accept suffering vs. demanding my comfort
If necessary, I accept discomfort, difficulty - suffering - in pursuit of pleasing God.
  • Soft heart that acts with kindness
I seek God’s heart for the person in front of me - even if their actions are unkind. (note: boundaries to protect yourself also helps another by limiting their sin.)
  • Contently accept current reality while consistently moving toward eternal truth.
I am content even when I (or others) fail to do what’s good and right.
  • Not trying to change others or myself. Value others, enjoy others not thinking I have something they need or they owe me something.
I look for ways to connect with and enjoy others NOW and leave the ‘fixing’ to God.
  • Live in the reality of God’s presence and work.
I trust God’s love, work, and provision for today (and tomorrow).
  • Not snapping at or being bothered by failure or foolishness.
I let God be my armor and defender & trust Him to work despite failings.
  • Dwelling in possibilities, not evil.
I dwell on possibilities of good that God alone can produce.
  • Choosing joy over TRUTH embraced, knowing sin leads to death.
I look for & enjoy the blessings of truth lived–and reject shorter pleasure of sin.
  • Bearing burdens
I rely on God’s love and power for myself–and others. I’m not the ‘fixer’ but I can walk alongside others sharing their burden.
  • Believing in YOU
I trust God is working even if I can’t see it.
  • Hope-filled outlook
I live with expectation, believing God’s plans are good and will come to pass.
  • Unified with You
I relish God’s presence above all and endure by being united to Him.
